European Tree lore & medicine
a 7 week journey into the wisdom & medicine of trees
spring equinox - Beltane | 20th of March - 1st of May | seven Fridays
19:00 - 20:30 CET
About the journey
In this online journey we will explore and uncover the important role that trees played within European society before christianisation. We will journey through cultural history, enter into direct animist practice with trees, and you will receive plenty of opportunity to steep into the medicine that these trees hold.
The intention of this journey is for us to reclaim the memory of a culture where deep reverence was held towards the green kingdom and the profound medicine that is stored within its saps.
This journey will teach you how to recognise, name and identify many different trees native to Europe. You will learn the stories, folklore and history surrounding these trees, as well as the medicine and food these trees bring and how you can benefit from it for your personal as well as communal use.
You will learn how to create meaningful relationships with trees, how to recognise their wellbeing, how to make offerings, and how to receive songs and insights from them.
The prayer this journey is built on is the one of cultural regeneration. The regeneration of a society filled with reciprocity with the entire web of life, of which we are an integral part, and the trees provide solid guidance.
You are warmly invited to weave the threads of belonging, together.
