About this community

In this online community we come together to listen to the web of life.

It hasn’t always been the case that we feel awkward around the idea that communication with rivers, with trees and with animals is possible. Looking at cultural history, the idea that ‘nature’ is inanimate and impossible to develop reciprocal relationship with, is a very young idea.

In this community we challenge this idea and we assume that it is indeed possible.

Here, we hold the ethic that the world is filled with different types of persons, of which human persons are just one type.

This is a place where we enter into listening with our local kin, together.

This is a place where we share our thoughts, our feelings and our inspirations around integrating this way of life back into our every day - and consequently into culture-at-large.

You’re warmly invited to join us in collectively reclaiming and nourishing our relationships with life.

This group is 100% donation based.
All are welcome, no matter background, identity, experience level or location.

  • Yes. Communicating with the larger web of life is possible from wherever you are. You don’t need to be next to a river to communicate with them in particular. However, in this circle you will be invited to communicate mainly with your local web: your local river, your local hills, your local mycelia,…

  • Yes. If you are in different areas than where you live permanently during our gatherings, you’ll be invited to communicate with the web of kin where you are currently located.

  • Then you are very welcome! This circle is for all to support one another in the reweaving of the possibility that reciprocal relationships of communication with other-than-human beings is possible. We hold an ethic of ideological inclusivity here, so if the ethic of animism isn’t one you actively adhere to, you will not be excluded.

  • This is a non-hierarchical community group, where I may share some things, but hopefully not more than others will. The main chunk of our time we will spend in collective listening. Afterwards, all will be open to share. Whether it be their experience, their knowledge, their feelings,…
