Poison as Medicine
What all visionary plants have in common, whether that be in Europe, the Americas, the African diaspora and beyond, is that their poison equals to their medicine.
In this five week online course we are going to dive in with some of the most celebrated plants and mushrooms in European tradition that have been used ritualistically and ceremonially for retrieving visions and holding the bridge to the Otherworld. We will use the time between Samhain and Winter Solstice to have these Master Plants guide us into crevices of our souls that may otherwise be difficult to be reached. We will sit in ritual at every gathering and you will hear old folk tales around these themes and plants. You will learn historical uses - always grounded in archeological evidence - and more about the roles that these plants have held within communities.

Elder & Yew - the Great Mother and the All Father
In our first gathering, we are going to travel to Mother Holda, Frau Holle, the Germanic mother of the threshold mysteries, similar to the Celtic Cailleach and the Slavic Baba Yaga. She will be our guide and keeper throughout the entirety of this series. With her blessing, we will dive in with Elder and Yew, the echoes of our ancestral threads.
